Our goal is to strengthen families of newborns by providing information, promoting understanding and reassuring parents.

The TLC Newborn Program is ready to be part of a positive beginning for your baby. At TLC Newborn we honor the unique relationship between parent and child and do all that we can to promote it.

With our team of dedicated and caring professionals we offer parenting support, education and guidance through:

• Informative and friendly phone calls, and access to our "warm-line" for questions about your babies' growth and development.
• Access to our private Internet group filled with numerous links, resources and opportunities for mother to mother discussion. We continually update the online calendar with local events for families.
• All TLC Newborn parents will also receive our monthly newsletter, which is called "Wee Wisdom". Wee Wisdom provides information on developmental milestones, activities for parents and babies, tips on teething and feeding, Dad's Corner and a variety of other topics all geared to the age of your baby.
• Information and support for the breastfeeding mother. Certified Lactation Counselors are on staff.
• Up to date information about community resources available to help you meet special needs that may arise.

TLC Newborn is a locally funded community based initiative. All services are offered free of charge.

Want to know how you can participate?

Shortly after delivery, a TLC Newborn Associate will stop by your room at Indian River Medical Center to visit you. If you are interested in receiving any of these free services just let them know and they will enroll you. Or if you reside in Indian River and have a children less than a year old you can call to sign up!
